THE BEATITUDES:
BEATITUDE VALUES:
BEATITUDES FOR TODAY:
1) what will you change?
I will change the cars that are parked, i will also change what the people are wearing along with colour and the building of the image. All these things will be replaced with modern day things from Australia.
2) How will your changes reflect the new image of Australia?
My changes will reflect the new image of Australia by showing, what the modern day clothes are, the cars that people drive and where the modern places that people go to for food, such as McDonalds.
1. What changes have you made?
I have made changes to the poem to show what Australia is like now, such as:
original line:
Still in the dying darkness, still in the forest dim
Appropriated line:
Still in the person’s late morning, 5 a.m.
2. Why? What does it tell us about changes in Australia?
This appropriated line shows that the working nature of Australia has completely changed, like as I have said the person’s late morning is 5 a.m.
3. What techniques have you used to reveal these changes?
I didn’t really use any techniques of my own or from the poem that I have chosen to transform this poem into a vision of the modern day.
4. If you used a technique, why did you choose it? How is it effective in creating meaning?
I didn’t use techniques.
1.) Give a brief description of who the Dalai Lama is?
He is the head of state and the spiritual leader of the Tibetan people. They believe that the Dalai Lama is a reincarnation of Buddha. Also he is a teacher, by teaching hundreds of pilgrims the way of Buddhism.
http://www.tibet.com/dl/biography.html
2.) Evaluate how the actions of the Dalai Lama in regard to the riots in Tibet would be regarded as exemplary moral integrity.
Because the people that he has taught the ways of a buddhist have still gone out and started a riot, so the Dalai Lama threatens to quit because he sees that his beliefs are incompatible with these riots, and that he has made more fundamental ethical commitments.

1.) Describe the term ‘interactive TV’.
Being able to choose what you want to watch on your television by downloading shows via broadbrand.
2.) Explain the reasons why interactive TV is now called TV 2.0.
Interactive T.V is called 2.0 because it interacts with using the internet.
3.) Outline the positives and negatives of implementing interactive TV.
positives:
negatives:
4.) Apple released recently Apple TV - Take 2. Describe the reasons why it needed to be changed.
The update removed the requirement for another computer running the iTunes software client to stream or load content to the device. The update adds the ability to rent and purchase movies and music from the iTunes Store directly from the device, as well as download podcasts and stream photos.

1. Watch the following video:
1.) Explain the purpose of using ‘youtube’ as a source of digital media advertising?
Because most people today would more likely use the internet and video casts as their source of information rather than reading a newspaper or listening to the radio.
2.) Discuss how collaborative media sites such as youtube, myspace and bebo have changed the current boundaries of media such as news, advertising ect.
because at this moment most of the population of the world either enters or has one of these social media sites, and this a great way to put out news or advertising because it will make the person want to look at it because it is on the site.
3.) Provide a link to an advertising commercial on youtube.
1.) Define the term ‘moral integrity’
Moral integrity is a complex and subtle ethical notion. A person’s moral integrity is central to a person’s sense of meaning.
2.) Describe why Maximillian Kolbe is regarded as a Christian of exemplary moral integrity.
Because he believed that the other prisoners deserved better than this so he created more fundamental ethical commitments like holding a place to store all the dead prisoners bodies, and then the final commitment of giving up his life for a fellow man that had a wife and children.
3.) Outline Maximillians ethical actions/principles that he demonstrated in Auschwitz.
As I have said he held a place to store dead prisoners bodies that he had carried and placed there and his final action was giving up his life for a fellow man that had a wife and children.
4.) Evaluate whether you think he made the right decision and provide research to support your answer. i.e. Catholic teachings.
Yes I think he made the right decision because Jesus did exactly the same thing, by giving up his life to give his fellow people a chance, just like what Maxilimlian did.
With reference to the image below and answer the following questions:

1.) Define the term ‘digital media’.
Digital media refers the different types of media such as, nespapers, magazines, etc……….., being published on the internet so that people can access this information, again, through the internet.
2.) How has digital media evolved over the last 5-10 years?
Digital media has evolved over the last 5-10 years, by instead of just publishing it as plain text they have now published it as videocasts, text messages, podcasts, blogs, etc…………
3.) Discuss the reasons why digital newspapers are extremely popular?
Becuase normal newspapers can be changed and modified to make them more appealing and fashionable, which makes the viewer want to read it, also because most people would rather find information from things on the internet rather than in a newspaper.
Scenario 1: You are on a train coming home from a day at the beach. The train stops at a station and a group a youths get on the train and start bashing an elderly ethnic man. You notice people getting off the train.
Discuss what you would do in this situation.
I would try to get the attention of the people getting off the train to help me brake up the group of youths from bashing up the eldery ethnic man.
Scenario 2: You get a message from a girl that you are interested asking you to come over her house. When you get there a number of her friends are present and they say they are bored. One of them promotes the idea of going for a walk and causing a riot. At first you tell them “No way”. However, the girl you like states that “she will like you more if you go”.
Discuss what you would do in this situation.
I would simply tell her “you are crazy!!!!!!!!!” then I would leave and cancel any form of contacts with her and her friends.
