Identify the key considerations that a car designer must examine before developing a design plan.

There are many key considerations that a car designer must take into mind when designing a car, these considerations are such as:

  • safety: Safety has become a global issue in the designing of cars. For the first time, an international agreement has been reached on a specification for manufacturing certain car components, such as the car door locks and car door retention components, and more….. These improvements have been justified by manufactures, and they now are supportive to this and will take these considerations when designing cars.

Read the following scenario and answer the questions:

Roger Smith, a quite competent swimmer, is out for a leisurely stroll. During the course of his walk he passes by a deserted pier from which a teenage boy who apparently cannot swim has fallen into the water. The boy is screaming for help. Smith recognizes that there is absolutely no danger to himself if he jumps in to save the boy; he could easily succeed if he tried. Nevertheless, he chooses to ignore the boy’s cries. The water is cold and he is afraid of catching a cold — he doesn’t want to get his good clothes wet either. “Why should I inconvenience myself for this kid,” Smith says to himself, and passes on.

1.) There are always TWO sides to a conscience. What would Roger’s conscience be telling him?

By this story, Roger’s conscience is telling him to place his own needs of maybe catching a cold, wetting good clothes, etc…………., instead of using his skills to help a innocent child in need.

2.) Think of an example of Jesus’ teaching and explain how his teachings can help us to make an appropriate decision?

‘love you neighbour as you love yourself’

This teching can help us to make an appropriate decision by placing yourself in the Kid’s position and finding out how he feels being in that position and watching someone that can help him walk past without recognising him.
