1.     What did you like about this project?

I liked the fact that the whole project was based around the practicals that we completed, which made it easier to organise the project.

2.     What did you not like about this project?

The thing I didn’t like, were the research sheets we had to complete, I think it wasted our time on the actuall project.

3.     Suggest 3 ideas that could improve/make this project more engaging.

One idea would be to, as said before, to not give out those sheets, right before the project is due, Another is to make the project more web based, and finally to probably give out more practicals that are fun, and engaging.

4.     Did you like the driving question? Explain why/why not.

Yes, as it was clear, which made it easier to understand what we actually had to do.

From the experiment that we have conducted, we can conclude by saying that each test pointed out what occurs when two tectonic plates collide, as the tests also proved what happened in all sircumstances what would happen as each test reacted differently and showed the following collisions, such as, a continental plate with another, an oceanic plate with another, and a continental plate with an oceanic plate.

After performing this experiment we can conclude by saying that, when we pushed the pieces of paper through the tables, it reacted in such a way that is similar to the spreading of tectonic plates by mid-ocean ridges. This happened as, when the paper was pushed through the tables, it formed a curved shape representing the mid-ocean ridges, and as it began to flatten the first strips that were marked were pushed further away, these strips representing the spreading of the tectonic plates.

We can conclude by saying that, when the crystal potassium pertanganate was entered into either the hot or cold water it reacted by creating a convectional current, a different current for each tempreature that it was placed in, as when it was placed in the hot water, the crystal created a circular current, in which it spread around the water, rather then when it was placed in the cold water it created a totally opposite current, which made the crystal give-off sink. These different currents are due to the different densities of the water.

1. What CST and IST grade what you allocate yourself for this project? Justify your response.

The grade that I would give myself for my CST part of the project would probably be a B, and I would give myself an A for my IST part, as I have went over the individual rubric and have completed everything to get these marks.

     2.   What could you do tonight that would improve your grade?

I wouldn’t be able to anything tonight to improve my individual grade, but as a group grade we could improve by re-doing our synopsis.

      3.   What grade do you think your team will give you for teamwork? Why?

I think that my team would give me full marks for team-work, as I have co-operated and listened to there opinions throughout the whole project.

       4.  Thinking about your presentation on Monday, what do you need to do to score an “A” grade? (hint: Look at the presentation skills). What could you do before Monday, to ensure you receive an “A”?

To score an a on monday, as a group we need to have projected voices, good eye-contact with the audience, to read off palm-cards and not the screen, etc……

To ensure that we will get an A we could prepare our speeches and also re-herse as a group a couple of times before Monday.

1.     Likes:

The things I liked in this project are such as, creating a prototype of an optical instrument, and the fact that everything was computer based.

2.     Dislikes:

The thing I disliked the most was that I found that there was insufficient time to complete a proper cross-section of an optical instrument. A way to improve would be to give us more time.

2) What areas do you think you have improved in from project 1 to project 4?

From projects 1 – 4, I think that I have improved in many areas, such as:

·        In using and being able to properly search on the internet.

·        Being able to work scientifically in a group environment.

·        Presenting to the rest of the class and other people.

3) What further skills would you like to develop over the next few projects?

I would like to develop and improve in skills that I have started to pick up, in the following areas:

·        In using and being able to properly search on the internet.

·        Being able to present even better then how I am now.

·        Learning how to use different scientific tools

The Elizabethan society delt with crimes by sentencing the person that had committed the crime to death. Many punishments and executions were witnessed by hundreds of people. Executions by beheading were considered the least brutal of execution methods of the many. The most dreadful punishments are such as, being Hung, Drawn and Quartered.

Society in Elizabethan England was changing and the number of poor people living in abject poverty was increasing. The poor were divided into three categories, which were the ‘Deserving Poor’, the ‘Deserving Unemployed’ and the ‘Undeserving Poor’.

 THE GLOBE THEATRE:

The original structure of the Globe Theatre stood until 29 June, 1613, when its thatched roof was set on fire caused by a cannon that was fired in a performance of Henry VIII and the Globe theatre burnt to the ground.

The Globe theatre was reconstructed in 1614. In 1642, an anti-theatre regime was put into place closed down all of England’s theatres. Two years later, the globe theatre was torn down.

 THE KING’S CHAMBERLAIN MEN:

The King’s Men were the actors to which belonged to Shakespeare during most of his career.

The King’s Men, Originally called the Chamberlain’s Men, which was sort of like a company, and it was the most respected and financially successful company of its day. Under the support of the King, the company had a major influence on the development of many dramas.

 AN OVERVIEW OF MY PLAY:

I along with my group performed the Shakespearean play ‘Macbeth’. Macbeth is a play about power, telling a story about a character Macbeth, and his thriving ‘goal’ of becoming the king, in which he has to murder his friends to get to the top.

Overall, I think my group along with myself did an alright job in re-writing the script so it’s a modern version of the original version, and even in performing our version of the play.      

TRADEGIES, COMMEDIES AND HISTORIES:                                                                                                    

There are many Shakespearean plays, in which are comedies, such as,’ Love’s Labour’s lost’, ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’, a later work ‘Measure for Measure’, and the ‘Tempest’.

There are also many tragedies that Shakespeare wrote, such as, ‘Hamlet’, ‘Macbeth’, and more……….

Several of Shakespeare’s historical plays feature ancient characters, but the Greeks he depicted were significantly less accurate historically than the Roman characters.

Shakespeare’s works were based on the Roman past, and he often focused on the philosophies and values by which these ancient people lived.

REVELANCE OF PLAYS TO THE 21ST CENTURY:

Shakespeare’s plays, apart from being humourous or sad, and enjoyable, have very intelligent and relevent teachings to them, these teachings weren’t just relevant to the people back when Shakespeare was alive, but are still relevant today, as these teachings are still able to teach young people and even adults, about many things, including, power isn’t everything, if it means losing your friends and family, to be forgiveful to anyone that has been hurt or has hurt, and more.

TYPICAL FEATURES OF A SHAKESPEAREAN PLAY:

There are many features of a Shakespearean play, such as:

• All of his plays are very dramatic, and emotional plays, whether these emotions are sadness, happiness, anger, etc….
• There is always a meaning or teaching behind his plays.
• There is always a main charcter that the entire play is concentrated on.
• His plays were written in ‘ye old’ english.
• His plays were written in iambic pentameters, which is a rhyme scheme in which each line consists of ten syllables. The syllables are divided into five pairs called iambs or iambic feet.

The things that influence my values about issues related to my life, are people, more specifically my parents, friends and family.

    2.   Do you ever compare images/values presented by the media to those of the bible? If so why?     why not?

Yes, I do compare images or values presented by the media to the those of the bible, because the way that the media present and explain the images, make them seem like they are in the bible, representing either Jesus or the Devil.

   3.   Has this project challenged you to examine your values? Why / Why not

Yes, it has challenged me to examine my values, because this project asks us to evaluate the values of topics in the current media, which makes me think of mine.

• Short-sightedness occurs when the focal point in the eye drifts away from the retina.
• Long-sightedness occurs when the focal point drifts behind the retina.

• Close objects appear fuzzy or blurry, while distant objects remain in focus.
• Headaches or tired eyes. In young people with long sight, the eyes can still focus on near objects, for example when reading a book.

• Short-sightedness could be corrected by using glasses that have concave lenses so that the focal distance will increase in your vision or sight.
